USA to Japan Carving A Path Between Two Cultures Nisei, it's a name given to a person born in the US from Japanese immigrant parent(s). This is the word in which Sierra Schlag has lived her entire life. "In Japan I'm seen as white, while in America I am consistently seen as Asian," she says. This film explores this feeling of never quite fitting into either place that she is culturally connected to, and how she finally finds her connection to both worlds on the ski slopes. Watch The Film
