About Us
"Forsake shoes are built for versatility and performance for all conditions, weather, and terrain. You don't carry around rain boots in case a storm hits, or hiking boots in case you venture off the beaten path. So we're building footwear that transcends traditional boundaries and environments. All-weather products that combine comfort, versatility, and style."

Our Story
In 2013, Jake Anderson and Sam Barstow - two college friends and former ski bums with a passion for the outdoors - set out to create versatile footwear that felt equally at home in both casual and rugged environments. They wanted shoes that stood up to harsh weather and terrain without sacrificing comfort, performance, or style. Unable to find a product that satisfied their cravings, they decide to make their own. They called it Forsake - For Sam and Jake - and launched the idea on Kickstarter.
Our Mission
Your footwear should never limit your adventures, whether you're on city streets or unmarked trails. That's why we make sneakerboots: rugged and versatile footwear that goes from peak to pavement and everywhere in between.
Sustainability

Making boots that last from season to season has always been our goal. Simply put, a better boot is a more sustainable boot. That’s why we insist on using only the highest quality materials and craftsmanship. We’ve also worked in as many environmentally preferred materials as we could. Across the line, all of our laces, webbing, and linings are 100% recycled. We source our leather exclusively from LWG gold-rated tanneries, and we mix bio-based foams into our midsoles and footbeds.

We acknowledge that despite all of this, our boots still have an impact on the environment. That’s why we’ve been committed to achieving certified carbon neutrality every year since 2019. Working with Carbon Neutral for our certification each year, we rigorously evaluate every aspect of our business to determine what the impact is, and what we can do to reduce and offset it.
